Description: In the small town of Bitter Lake, New Mexico lives Ben Shipley. Ben is in the seventh grade and he has a fascination with alien life and outerspace. His friends think he's obsessed - even Ben himself says he is obsessed. His brother is always teasing him and his parents think his interest in aliens is unhealthy. Ben doesn't care because he knows aliens exist and he has proof that they landed right here, in his home town.
Before Ben gets a chance to show his photography teacher, Ms. Crenshaw, the alien item he found, the classmates who always called him weirdo threw it out of a window in the lunchroom. Ms. Crenshaw gives Ben a warning: "Be careful who you show these things to." Ben worries he'll never be able to prove aliens are on earth. When he gets home, his parents are there and he overhears parts of their conversation. Ben begins to wonder if his parents bodies are being used by aliens. Ben starts to question who is a human and who is an alien. Can he convince the town that aliens have landed before they all change into aliens?
