I’m the oldest of three dirt poor children and was born on August 9, 1968. I was kidnapped a year later by my estranged mother from my true father who had custody of me.
At the age of fifteen I discovered martial arts, first Tae Kwon do, then Jeet Kune do and now Serak Silat, the deadliest of all martial arts and boxing. At the age of eighteen I joined the United States Army. I lived in there in the heart of the Veneto valley with all of its ancient and medieval architecture for three years. While there next to the Alps I was part of the Army’s only Airborne Combat Team and NATO unit in Europe. During all of that time away from home and despite the traveling I did over there, I never put aside my books, or my fantasy world or gaming. In fact Italy inspired me to want to write more.
After reading a really horrible book one night I remembered an interview that Robert Jordan had given once about how he had decided to write and I decided that I too could write a better book and started right there.
My first endeavors were on notebook paper and were truly horrible but Damien Daverge and Kendle Stonebreaker kept forcing themselves into my thoughts and after several rewrites and lots of studying I stumbled on a solution. I have always been a fairly good artist but I’m an even better talker and so I decided to draw my book with words rather than just using ideas out of my head and my writing abilities changed dramatically for the better.
In January of 2001, my semi truck caught fire and I lost everything including the laptop that I had written all of my stuff in. Luckily I did still have all of my ancient paper notes and after receiving an insurance check for the truck I finally moved to a place I chose to call home I truly loved, Key West Florida. It was there that I started back into martial arts and writing again This author has been recommended by 6 other readers. | |
