About Author

Born in Hordern, County Durham (UK). His early work was heavily influenced by H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos cycle. Lumley writes the best horror novels of the Great Old Ones with the unpronounceable names. His other works are also very good, notably the Necroscope series.
If you want to sink your teeth into a saga, then the Necroscope seris, followed by the Wamphyri World Trilogy are an absolute must.

At 21 he started 22 years of National Service, in the Royal Military Police. In 1981 he returned to civilian life and became a full-time author. Will this show up? Currently resides in Torquay, in Devon (UK).
