About Author
Born in Buffalo, NY, February 29, 1952. Two-time winner of the Philip K. Dick Memorial Award, for The Anubis Gates (1984) and Dinner At Deviant's Palace (1986); Winner of the World Fantasy Award for Last Call (1993) and Declare (2001).

In many of his novels Powers deals with time travel, and these historical fantasies are often populated by authentic figures. He also favors fantastic episodes featuring supernatural and mythical characters and exhibits a penchant for the horrific, adventurous, and grotesque.

Educated at California State University, Fullerton, R.A., 1976. Currently resides in San Bernardino, California.
