Description: A novel predicated on the concept of a world without rotation. On the topside, where the sun is always shining, science is the mode of existence, while on the netherside, magic is the means of life. The protagonist is not quite a hero, and it may be more accurate to call him an anti-hero. It has certain ideas that could possibly be linked to the Amber series, such as the dichotomy between Light and Shadow, but has no overt signs of ever having been intended to be a part of the later series of novels.
