Dragonfly in Amber by Diana GabaldonDescription: An excellent romance novel, a time-travelling ex-nurse who's just been through WW2 and has gone to Scotland to spend some reunion time with her husband, Frank Randall. She falls through the stones at Craigh na Dun, and ends up in the 18th century, with Bonnie Prince Charles and his lot. There, she meets James Alexander Mackenzie Fraser, and is forced into marriage with him to save her life.
In Dragonfly in Amber, she fights to stay beside him, and as new miracles and tragedies hit them harshly, as they wait in France and struggle to avoid the massive slaughter as Culloden, should Prince Charles decide to fight for his country and fulfil his destiny, the one she knows from her time.
Also in this series are The Outlander, Voyager, The Drums of Autumn, The Fiery Cross, A Breath of Snow and Ashes
