The Weight of Glory and Other Addresses by C.S. LewisDescription: A superb collection of a few sermons and discussions by Lewis during WWII. Some of the topics addressed never quite found homes in any of Lewis's larger works, but they are all equally stunning, moving, and beautiful, and a few deserve to be considered among Lewis's finest works. The sermons ostensibly cover a variety of topics, but there is a subtle theme running through all the works. Lewis understood how difficult it was to apply one's faith to the complicated issues of modern living, and his love and patience yet practicality and unaltering conviction shine through each of these essays.
