Barry Trotter and the Shameless Parody by Michael GerberDescription: In the tradition of Bored of the Rings, this is something special for both lovers and haters of the phenomenon that is Harry Potter (and all that goes with it).....
Magic, broomsticks... and groupies?!
In the tradition of Bored of the Rings, this is something special for both lovers and haters of the phenomenon that is Harry Potter (and all that goes with it). Gerber’s parody makes slyly affectionate digs at the books themselves, so funny that even J. K. Rowling herself might appreciate it!
Barry Trotter is 22 and a perpetual student at Hogwash School of Magic, shamelessly living off the success of G. K. Rollin’s books about him. He doesn’t have to work and the wizard pipe he bought in London’s Catty Corner lends him the air of mystery required to impress Muddles (well, stupid ones).
But now disaster looms. The movie Barry Trotter and the Inevitable Attempt to Cash In is nearing completion and Hogwash faces invasion by hordes of Barry Trotter fans that could close the school. That means (horror of horrors) Barry will have to get a job... There’s no doubt about it – the film must be stopped!
