Description: Last published in 1984 I remember this from much earlier (thank heaven for public libraries). A much overlooked auhor - you ever heard of him? - I remember him from my childhood. Remember the tale of the Swan Prince? This book tells the tale of the prince left with a swan's wing after his sister made his coat of nettles. In an age when grit and gore and machiavellian intrigue is all the rage this may seem a little old fashioned. But for imagination and bravado you have to give Gray credit. Well written and truly involving. It's been a long time since I read this but I still remember it fondly. Have a look at the book on Amazon and see the reviews if don't believe this is an unjustly neglected author.
