Description: This novel is devoted to Hanse, following his adventures in a little town that once housed a nasty wizard named Corstic. Shadowspawn got rid of Corstic (before the story opens) and most of the town is friendly. Unfortunately some are after Corstic's treasures, and Hanse looks like a handy guy to fetch them out of Corstic's maze, especially if he can be persuaded by the kidnapping of his girl Mignureal...

I like Hanse, I like humor, and I like strange magical mazes as much as anyone. However this reads more like another episode of a weekly serial rather than a full-fledge novel with deeper implications. I rate it a 4 as worth the trouble to read but not something to take instead of a real gem.
