Description: Thie is the first volume of 'Voyages et aventures du capitaine Hatteras' (i.e. 'Voyages and Adventures of Captain Hatteras'). The two volumes were first published in 'Magasin' from March 20th, 1864 through December 5th 1865. This volume, titled 'Les Anglais au pôle Nord' (i.e. 'The English At The North Pole') is sometimes simply titled as 'At The North Pole'. "Voyages and Adventures of Captain Hatteras" is considered the second of Verne's 'Voyages Extraordinaires', although because it was serialized 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' and even 'From the Earth to the Moon' were published prior to the finish of this series.
