Description: The third book in John F. Carr's Kalvan Saga follows "Kalvan Kingmaker." This is the third book in the Great Kings' War trilogy, and maybe the best of them all. A great series in the tradition of H. Beam Piper's "Lord Kalvan of Otherwhen." It reads as if it were written by Piper had he not committed suicide in 1964. According to Carr's website Hostigos.com, he is presently at work on the next book in the Kalvan Saga, "Gunpowder God." Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys alternate worlds stories, wargammers and readers who like great adventure series.
