Description: This book grew out of my friendship with Vox Day, who at the time was the CEO of Fenris Wolf Electronic Games. It was supposed to be my counter-Headcrash novel; the opening salvo in a grand trilogy that proved I was not merely a "funny" writer, I could also explode planets and splatter gore with the best of 'em.
Unfortunately just about everything that could go wrong with the marketing of this book and the associated game did, and the publisher pulled the plug on the trilogy, leaving us with a book that has a somewhat dissatisfying ending. (Note to would-be trilogy writers: Blow up the Death Star at the end of the first book. Leave the ambiguous "Good battles Evil and barely gets away with its fanny intact" ending for the second book.)
Until fairly recently Vox and I were still talking about finishing the trilogy, but lately he's been overwhelmed by his commitments as a WorldNetDaily columnist and (frankly rather obsessive) blogger. That, and he's begun to insist on rewriting the book from the beginning, as he now believes we were much too kind to the UN and the EU.
