Born in 1928, passed away December 9th 2005. Known for his inimicable humor, and playful stories, he was an unquantifiable author of short stories in particular. As stated in his NY Times obituary (By Gerald Jonas), his short story total was at least 400, and likely many more than that. In his passing, the Science Fiction world lost one of its unique stars, who presaged much of what today comprises some of the most innovative and humorous works ever since.
