Richard Paul Russo was born and raised in San Jose, California. After publishing several stories in small literary magazines, he attended the Clarion East Writing Workshop in 1983. His novels Subterranean Gallery and Destroying Angel were both nominated for the Arthur C. Clarke Award, and the former won the Philip K. Dick Memorial Award for 1989. Richard resides in Seattle, Washington, with his wife, Candace, and two cats. He is currently at work on a new novel.
