| Mark Robson was born in Wanstead, Essex, in 1966, and was raised, for the most part, near Carmarthen in West Wales. In 1982, he gained a scholarship to join the Royal Air Force as a pilot and he is currently a Flying Instructor on VC10 air-to-air refuelling tankers.
