| Marcus Herniman was born (or at least found in a cradle) in North London, and has led something of a changeling existence ever since. At the age of ten he moved with his family to the island of Jersey. He studied Medieval Literature and Art at the University of Exeter (Devon, England) and has worked variously as an archivist, bookseller, IT support, securities clerk, teacher, typist and general dogsbody.
