About Author
Dunedin is a town which was settled by immigrants from Scotland. Grew up surrounded by Celtic music and stories, so it's not surprising she ended up with a lifelong affinity for history and folklore. The threads of traditional storytelling are woven strongly into the fabric of my work.

Graduated from Otago University with a BA in languages and an honours degree in music, and have had a varied career which included teaching and lecturing in music history, professional singing, choral conducting and various government jobs. Since late 2002 she has been a full time writer.

Currently lives in the in a 100 year old cottage near the river. Shares the house with two dogs and a cat. Has four grown-up children and one grandchild.

Currently working on book two of a fairytale fantasy series for young adults.
