A new addition to the teen fiction scene, Jo Whittemore prefers fantasy to any other genre. Her favorite fantasy author is Terry Brooks, author of the Shannara novels, who also became her writing influence.
Jo grew up in Santa Barbara, California before moving to Texas to finish her education. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in business, though she regrets not pursuing one in journalism. Jo currently resides in Austin, Texas with her husband, Roger.
Jo is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and the Association of Booksellers for Children (ABC). Her debut novel, Escape from Arylon, was released March 1st, 2006. This author has been recommended by 4 other readers. | |
