Aimee Carter wrote her first novel, Phoenix Ashes, in just 5 weeks when she was 16. She has since completed several other novels (unpublished), including the final installments of her Zac Lucas Trilogy- Words Without Rhyme and Leaving to Stay. She is graduating high school this year (2004) and will be attending the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) in the fall. She plays piano, guitar, and drums, holds a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do (recieved the honor when she was 14 after 6 years of classes), and lost her mother when she was 10: an event that sparked her interest in writing. Aimee is the oldest of three children, her twin brothers being Aaron and Adam.
"The possibility of actually making enough money to live on seems small," she said -- but wants to give it a shot. If not, she wants to be a psychologist or psychiatrist. This author has been recommended by 14 other readers. | |
