Louisiana Storyteller and author AJ Rodriguez was born in a small steel mill town in PA. One of six children born to John and Mildred Cymbalak. She lived the average small town life until 1965 when she met and married her husband David, a soldier in the US Army. The next twenty years were spent traveling around the world with her husband and their four sons.
Theodore was born on one of these trips abroad. While living in Germany the number of books available at the library were few. AJ's children loved to read so AJ began creating stories for them about this wizard that had been turned into a magical teddy baer. AJ sons shared these stories with their friends and soon many children gathered to hear the exciting tales of this magical baer. But as all children must, AJ children outgrew their need for this magical baer and he was placed to the back of AJ's mind.
In 1984, AJ's husband retired from the military and they moved to Baton Rouge, LA.
Here AJ began her career with the State of Louisiana. In 1995 she retired and began her true dream writing. In 2005 Publish America released Theodore Da Baer the second book of the series is due to be released in 2006. Theodore Da Baer II, A New Beginning is a continuation of the antics of Theodore and Taylor.
AJ now spends her time writing and traveling. She enjoys sharing her adventures with the children of the world. Her Teddy Baer Hugs and Magical Wishes is beginning to take on a life of their own.
