Stephen Leigh Farrell.
lives and work in the Midwest.
During a trip to Ireland the landscape and the sense of long history called to him, and inspired him. He looked to his Irish ancestry and his affinity for that haunted isle to create the “Cloudmages” series (DAW Books), which Booklist called "Good enough to cast in gold." Publishers Weekly praised him as "one of the rising stars of Celtic fantasy." His current work-in-progress is the Nessantico cycle (DAW Books), a richly-detailed epic of Machiavellian politics, raw ambition, love, lust, magic, religion, and science.
A long-time fan of the WILD CARDS series, S.L. Farrell has begun to write short fiction as well as novels, with stories for the long-running WILD CARDS series edited by George RR Martin.
