Born in 11/7/1954, in Weyburn Saskatchewan (Canada). Writes fantasy novels. His books are usually very emotional. This internationally successful series garnered him a nomination for the John W. Campbell Memorial Award for Best New Writer in 1986. He has been awarded Canada's Aurora award twice for the novels Tigana (which was also nominated for the World Fantasy Award) and the above mentioned The Wandering Fire.
